Twice the fun.
Back in the day, hockey organizations would send out one trusty Zamboni to resurface the ice before the game and between periods.
Lo and behold, I discovered at our visit to the Syracuse Crunch game at the War Memorial in downtown Syracuse that nowadays two of the pleasingly-named ice-smoothers circle the rink.
Better for the organization to stage little contests at the start of each intermission, I discovered.
I’ve only been to one hockey game and enjoyed it! It was quite–aggressive? LOL.
How cool to see DOUBLE the Zamboni’s! You’re so cool, Mark!

Hockey is a taste I acquired growing up on Long Island, Karla, where we played a sneakered-up version called street hockey. Aggressive, yes, got those collisions out of the system with the civil name of body checks. Thanks for allowing me the visit to my Wayback Machine, Karla.
