Flocking with the pumpkins.
It’s fun to note what’s new in the seasonal decorations on my dear wife Karen and I’s seasonal trek to Ontario Orchards.
Collected out front this time was a bunch of carefully crafted birds perched on stumps of various heights.
Bright red, we did believe they are cardinals.
Nice work!
We don’t have cardinals here… I’d be a pumpkin person if I was shopping! Those we have!! Linda 🙂

We have cardinals that return to our backyard every spring, Linda, and we always wonder if it’s the same ones that make their way back after a winter spent in warmer climes! We like thinking that it is the same birds that like our fence and plants.

I’m certain they’re your cardinal family come back each year – birds are so smart, they’d know your home in a heartbeat – besides, I bet you’re great hosts! 🙂

Lovely – if you keep bearing gifts, I’m sure they’ll keep coming back! xx

And at this very moment someone somewhere is starting to design something creative for next year’s display. Watch for it next September. “The early bird…” etc.
