Baseball, please

A cold day in March.

I’m telling you they’ll be out on this baseball field in less than four full weeks.

Interesting that the schedule-makers have scheduled Opening Day for the Syracuse Mets at NBT Bank Stadium for Friday, March 29.

The field looked a little icy and dicey as my dear wife Karen and I reached the top of the concourse for the Open House on Saturday.

  1. 75 F. here right now. I think the sun is shining but not sure. My room doesn’t look out on the exterior of the building and I’ve been stuck in here all morning working my way through email. Anyway, since this time last week we were in the 20’s as a high, It’s definitely allergy and pneumonia time. So, Bro. Mark, baseball time already. Playing on ice is as sensible as beginning football practice in July, one of the hottest months in the year down here. I hope you have a good season and win them all. I might have a different view about another sport that I also don’t watch because the one time I did watch UK basketball they lost heavily. Honestly I manage to hit the trashcan more times than they hit the basket. Same result, it always bounces back out of the can as well as the basket, but since they won the game before and the ones since I watched I guess I’m the jinx. Okay, end of sports for me. I’m gonna go look out the door and maybe even go outside and take a chance on allergies just to feel what 75 feels like. I can tell you what -5 feels like but forget the warm part.
