Going, going …
First rack up at the 2023 Syracuse Mets Garage Sale for George Three and lots of other folks was the collection of batting practice shirts, priced very well at $15 per bright orange T.
After his rifling of the goods, George moved on. None to his size requirement.
I didn’t even look.
While a piece of clothing previously worn by a player might be a selling point for that fan or the fan next to him or her, to me, not so much. I’d imagine lingering aux de batting practice no matter how many home washed I’d run it through. What, you’re not supposed to wear it?
George Three told me that some of them might have been brand new as we rehashed the day, by the way …
I have a friend who is also into “game-worn” collecting. I don’t really get it, but fandom is of course for all fans regardless of how they want to display their allegiance.

When in a casual get-together with a bunch of strangers, take a look at the logo on their sweatshirts before anything else. You will know immediately whether to approach or stay clear.
