What we call a dusting.
Before heading down the road to take my dear wife Karen for her morning shift at the eye center yesterday, I grabbed my iPhone to capture the measurable white stuff that had arrived on our front lawn since we’d gone to bed the night prior.
The TV weather folk were telling me that inches would be piling up by the time I’d go back down those two blocks again come afternoon to bring my dear wife home from that shift.
Although it’s still officially fall in our part of the world for another three-plus weeks, may the next season begin …
I walk though my house and say, “This calls for a dusting.”
