I’ll keep mine on, thank you.
Walk to take in the sights my dear wife Karen and I did on a brisk and windy afternoon, noting eateries and gauging our stomach pangs.
Why not try someplace different, I suggested, pointing out that Shirtless Joe’s was not to be seen in our part of the States.

Rumbly in my tumbly.
OK, wait person, we’ll start with a beer (me) and margarita (she).

Smiling at our choices.
I went local, and the Big Rig Lager went down nicely. Karen said her margarita was AOK as well.

Big burger.

Solid steak and cheese.
Karen’s burger and my steak and cheese hit the spot. The fries were crisp and hot, too.
Meal one, done well.
Mark,
I suggest the Red Coach Grill (more upper scale) or Flip Burger on the US side both on that strip near The Point Comfort Inn.
The place up the hill named after one of the queens facing the falls on the Canadian side is also good. You have the Hard Rock Cafe on both sides as well!
Have a good time.
And incidentally it’s a joke among Canadians that the prices near there on their side are scaled up for the exchange rate! But they know the places to avoid wink, wink, nod.

Handing over a wad of American and getting back a 1.3 or whatever wad of Canadian back on that initial exchange sure was nice, though, Gerald. Paying in Canadian cash thereafter I tried to let go of the U.S./Canadian rate game in my brain and just enjoy the escape.

Do you ever eat at (yearn for) a greasy drive-in burger place?

That’s the kind of food I ate all the time in my twenties. Life is so dull when you count every calorie. That looks delicious.

On a getaway celebration, calorie thoughts get left back home, Jessica. And it was delicious.
