Man of honor, front right.
When a great friend moves away, the very best thing is they want to come back to visit.
Donnie counts the gang from the big daily as his crew.
When he bounced back from Nashville recently, Nolan set up a welcoming bash and Chelsea’s.
Yes, this big group of us talked his ear off.
Back in the 80s, I hired Donnie as the football beat writer when I was sports editor. A fruitful career and life here ensued for the man who moved to Syracuse from Alabama. One of his sons, Austin, still lives here. See him smack dab in the middle of the photo.
What a wonderful gang! I always love hearing of your adventures at the Big Daily and the crew there. Maybe Donnie’s visit will make him homesick enough to want to move back. ❤️

I think Donnie is very happy since moving back south, to his original roots, Rachel. Just a feeling …

Good friends really never leave us. What a great bunch of smiling faces.
I believe I recognize at least two of the attendees.
