Who’s back?
So, my dear wife Karen mulled after our 2023 visit to the New York State Fair, was it as crowded as usual? What vendors came back? What was new? Did we seem to have more room to stroll?
Yeah, we still liked it.

Years ago the Chamber of Commerce would have a little fair each year. Merchants would set up their booths and hand out goodies . .. ice cream and drinks. You could sign up for a drawing too. Lucky me! I won a dinner at a steak house and a nice brief case and a months worth of something I don’t remember what. I did collect plenty of writing pads and pens.
This went on for 4-5 years and then gradually they changed the format and it wasn’t any fun. Maybe the merchants went broke. lol
Just a thought generated from your post.

It is the Center of Progress, Mike. Yes, Toe Rings. But the most prevalent demonstrations this year seemed to be the mattress sellers, to my eyes at least. They also brought along these new style chairs that I assume are supposed to be comfortable. To me, those trying them out appeared to be clamped in tight and trapped!

I liked the sense of more open spaces, Beth. I think that’s one accomplishment officials can check off.
