Plant it and it will grow.
I can’t swear that this group of gardens has not been at the New York State Fair in years past.

Perfect exhibit.
But I can say the timing was right to catch the attention of my dear wife Karen, terrific daughter Elisabeth, fantastic fiance George Three and I, what with their hard work this summer in the great garden during their first summer in their new house a mile down the road from us.

Vibrant.
We took in the beauty and the information.

Great grapes.
I’m always pleased to find something I don’t recall from years past.

Beautiful photos, bro Mark. I’ve never been to one of our state fairs, although I had a blue ribbon winning afghan in the county fair several years ago that could have been entered state wide. Can’t remember why I skipped the state unless it was because it was 1976 and the afghan was a knitted version of the original flag with the 13 stars and everyone made those that year. I love that yours had a flower growing exhibit and hope they will continue with it. In Kentucky the farm equipment is the big thing, along with the cattle exhibit. My grandson did win gold in that one several years ago when he was in 4H, beating out some of the states biggest cattle barons. Great beginning for a 10 year old.

The New York State Fair reminds all that our state is big on agriculture, sis Angie, which sometimes those who concentrate on the New York City-centric aspects of it can overlook.

Mark, he is confident he can remove all tumors from pancreas, lymph nodes, and liver. I’m under the weather a bit, but this was full on sunshine to my sons and family! Happy Friday!

Never underestimate creativity. Who would have guessed to have a flower exhibit at a State Fair? But then I’ve never been to a State Fair. 😦
But I do remember the movie State Fair and one of my favorite Rodgers and Hammerstein songs from the film is “It Might As Well Be Spring.”
