Hello, down there.
We told the kids that it would be fun to sea the seals of Chatham, but we’d have to get there early enough for the feeding off the fish pier.
We made our schedule, witnessing the early fog.
Alas, we forgot that the fishermen would take Memorial Day off.
That meant there was not an abundance of the beautiful creatures feasting on the fish the industry folk deemed not worthy for sale.
We spotted a dark lonely figure near the dock and waited.

It came up to breathe.
Our patience was rewarded when the beautiful creature emerged for air.
I counted cleansing breaths.
It was a rewarding morning meditation, I thought.

Good morning.
A satisfying visit to the pier it was.
What fun! I’m glad the mist and fog didn’t keep you away!
Happy Week to you!

Oh, my, you stir memories of seeing scads of them there. And of climbing to the beacon room of the lighthouse nearby.

We did the same in Chatham! We went to where they were bringing the fishing boats in and watched the seals. I love them!

So many things to see and do! Most/Many of us would look out, see the fog and decide to sleep in.
Thanks for sharing what most/many of us will never see. 🙂

When it’s the first time all four of us are in Cape Cod together, we will go out and appreciate what the fog yields, ladysighs.
