The Park’s off to a very early start for Lights on the Lake

Which one doesn’t belong?

On our work break walk from the library late last week, my colleague and I spotted a startling sight on the path in Onondaga Lake Park.

The sky was lovely. The Yacht Club Marina was still full of boats the week of Labor Day.

And there resting on a tree were decorations for Lights on the Lake, our traditional November through New Year’s celebration.

Whew! I don’t even want to think about October yet.

  1. It seems to come earlier and earlier each year. I like every season, and goodness knows I love Christmas, but can we please enjoy summer, fall, Halloween, and Thanksgiving before we face the Holidays?
