The task: Promote another meeting of the Liverpool Public Library Chess Club.
The photo file was full of pictures I’d used previously.
So I went down into our main room and snapped off a few new ones.
I used a version of this one on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Get it?
Why do you think this photo of mine made me smile? Does it make you smile? Are you a chess player, and if so, how good are you?

I haven’t played chess in years! Must. Get. Back. To. It.

I’d say I must carve out time, too, Christy, but I think I’d get taken down in a matter of minutes at the start of MY return. 🙂

I’m terrible, strangely enough I played my first game in about ten years yesterday, and my son beat me.

That’s some timing, Vonita. Wavelength! Keep up with it, my dear friend.

Very artistic Mark! It’s been quite a few years since I’ve played chess.

I’ve never learned to play chess. Am I the only one? 😉 Love the photo and how it matches the poster behind it Mark. ❤

You would make a fantastic beginner, Diana. Of that I am certain.
And thank you for getting my delight in the photo 100 percent right, my friend. ❤

I love that photo, Mark! At first, I thought it was a mirror – but setting up the pieces identical to the poster (brochure?) is even better. Good eye!

Thanks, CM. The thought to set it up exactly the same just hit me. 🙂

All I know is that I’m listening to a block of “King” related compositions on the local classical music station as I’m reading your post, Mark.

I too haven’t played in decades, Beth, since junior high school. I wonder how quickly it would come back. Or slowly. Thanks for your kinds words.
