It took until mid-August for my dear wife Karen and I to take in our fireworks this summer.
Terrific daughter Elisabeth and tremendous significant George Three invited us to Star Wars night at the Syracuse Chiefs game Saturday night at NBT Bank Stadium. The spectacle was, well, spectacular, and the Chiefs won in one of the best ballgames we’d seen in a while. More on that in a post to come.
But, oh, the closing fireworks display, with fans waving light sabers given out to mark the night …
It was worth the wait.
Fifteen minutes of firepower.
They nailed it this time around.
Which is your favorite photo, and why?
I have always wanted a light sabre! We have something called global fest here where many countries showcase their fireworks in one event over a period of several days here in Calgary Mark! ❤

Global Fest sounds wonderful, Diana! I would go given the geographical chance, for sure. ❤
Now for the sad part of last night's story. The fan in line right before George got the very last light saber. We were shut out of the giveaway. He was crestfallen. 😦 And we arrived one hour before game time, too.
