It’s not winter yet here in the top half of the world.
And yet when it’s gray, and I’m walking on the Syracuse University campus, there’s that familiar feel in the air.
It’s coming. Soon. I don’t need to red-circle Dec. 21 on any calendar …

Does it feel like winter in your neck of the woods yet? What feels more like winter to you, gray skies or blue skies, and why? Which is your favorite photo, and why?
Great pictures, Mark! What a lovely place you live in… even on a grey day!

I hope you can get over to this side of the pond to take in our version of beauty someday, Ali. It’s so different than your gorgeous. 🙂

It hasn’t been too cold yet, although we’ve had frost the last few mornings, but it’s definitely a winter sky with winter light. I feel like it’s time for bed at 5 PM. 🙂

Even at noon, the sun has no height to it, Merril. Low angle, you got that right, my friend.

But there was brilliant star light early this morning! 🙂

My favorite photo is the only photo. It is grey and dreary here and I love it. It is also super cold for us, must be in the 60s during the day, and in the high 30s at night. BRRRRR!!!!!!!

Enjoy the cold, SD. Brrrrrrrrr!

Yes it feels like winter here. We have snow on the ground. Yet it’s been unusually warm for this time of year with temps between 5c/41f and 10c/50f. Like you probably are though, I am bracing myself for colder days Mark! ❤

I hope it stays warmer than usual this year, Diana, after a colder last two winters. Just to average things out a bit! ❤

Nothing here. Seems more like early fall – green lawns, mostly sunshine, but that crispness in the air. My daughter is all upset that it looks like we won’t have a white Christmas this year. I don’t agree with her – I can handle a green Christmas just fine.

It’s too early to predict which color Christmas will be, CM. However, I’m hoping for green. 🙂 I think it’s an age thing.

Our first snowfall of the year was on November 2. Thankfully, it didn’t stick because I don’t look forward in having to drive in snow. Yes, it feels like winter here because it is COLD!

We’ve had nothing but sunshine and blue skies for most of Autumn. Such a beautiful and unusual thing here. Loving it. ☺

It makes me shiver thinking about what’s to come, Van. We had a thick frost covering the whole lawn this morning. Oh, boy.

Here, too. Lots of sunny days.
Gray skies are wintry, because snow. But blue ones are prettier after the snow 🙂

So true, Joey, snow reflected in sunlight…doesn’t get better than that. ☺

Gray skies here too, Mark, although I managed to find sunshine on one of the days I went for my SEVEN mile walk. And I wrote all about it! LOL Today the sun is struggling to shine which in turn is melting the heavy frost we got last night. Yep, here She comes …. Winter!!!! Stay warm, cuz!!! ❤

We had heavy frost the 150 miles east here, too, dear cousin Amy Rose. Now the sun is working its magic. I hope to take Ellie B aka Dogamous Pyle for a walk around noon. I will visit your place momentarily to read about your Marathon Walk! ❤

Heavy frost now is gone and even though chilly I will be preparing to return to again do another marathon walk. Think of me as you walk Ellie B. I won’t have a dog with me, no, but I am planning to at least try to start bringing my Canon in a backpack with me on my walk. Not sure if I can do it. I’ll see! (smile) (((HUGS))) cuz Rose

You make gray skies turn blue, Mark. And I don’t write that because it reminds me of the song I’m probably singing for my Voice audition, 250 miles away from Syracuse in the midst of winter. I write it because it’s true.
