I put my life on the line with my New York Mets.
My good friend Michelle went with her Kansas City Royals.
Smart woman, she of the wildly entertaining Lipstick and Laundry blog.
So as you probably know by now, her Royals squashed my Mets by the count of four games to one.
My penance was to write an essay about how I could ever love such a scalawag squad such as the Metropolitans, and sent it, along with some photos of myself dressed in loser’s gear, over to the winner’s realm. She now has free will to do with them whatever she wishes.
Click here to find her blog and discover how much gloating she wished to unleash.

so funny, i personally know the pain of losing to you in these wagers )

AHHHHH!! I feel like such a doofus, Midwest girl. I had NO idea that Mets stood for the Metropolitans. Duh.
Thank you so much for being such a gracious sport and fun opponent. I had so much fun bantering back and forth. I’m just glad I could pull it out in the ninth inning, er, for a Thursday post 😉 xo
PS: Paul, aka Toronto Bluejay, has the Monday post 🙂

There are always a lot of laughs when you follow the Mets. I rooted for them everyday, but for most of the season still couldn’t imagine the Mets would be in the World Series. It was such fun with all the drama, crazy games and great baseball moments. Another year of Mets memories, ending in a World Series game of “what ifs!”

Always full of drama, our squad, Mike. As the Mets Turn. I wouldn’t trade ’em in for any other team, that’s for sure. 🙂
