Anybody with a search engine hooked into this www-dot age of ours has the ability to discover what I’ve got to say.
Intriguing concept, this far-flung visibility of markbialczak.com, but kind of far-fetched as well. Elusive. Ethereal. Throw in exciting.
I write on my lap here at home in the city of Syracuse. Life unfolds in Central New York. I keep my eyes and ears open. My impressions are meant to have an impact here. Hopefully, my ideas can strike a chord beyond the borders.
This WordPress platform allows me to chart my worldwide progress, nation-by-nation.
Since I debuted with “Yeah, I’ve Got a Blog” on Feb. 26, my entries have been viewed in 36 countries.
Why, in the world?
Australia, I can figure. Thank you for checking in, old friend Gregg Bell, the Syracuse native who moved from his music industry job in LA to the homeland of his now new bride, the wonderful Katie MacDonald.
Canada, sure. Not so far north. I can reasonably guess that Syracuse band Hobo Graffiti has fans in Canada because a batch of views from up north appeared on my stats page the day my review of Hobo Graffiti’s new songs appeared.
I can have fun figuring it out day-by-day.
For instance, already today are listed views from India and Italy, even though I’ve yet to post this item. Four entries have been viewed, so the international visitors are interested in the reunion of the big daily, Three Fat Guys Bar, my Grumpus rant about the change in my car seat controls or the fact that I’m now the film blogger for syracusenewtimes.com. I’d venture to say my friends from afar are film fans.
But the stats won’t specifically tell me who’s clicking on what. And, oh, am I curious.
So here’s a shout-out to international readers.
Hello, people of the world!
If you’ve read my words from somewhere far from my comfortable recliner in the Syracuse neighborhood of Eastwood, I’d love it if you’d click comment below or even my email to tell me why. Let me know what you think of markbialczak.com, too.
