A garden center in a suburban setting
When you look out in the distance at Chuck Hafner’s Garden Center, you’d think they were growing and welling their plants and trees out in the country. Look in another direction, though, and you can spot the big buildings of other businesses poking through the nature. This is, after all, the suburbs of Syracuse.

Next up in our summer rotation: The front yard daisies. We do not have any goats roaming the neighborhood. Or foraging deer, that I’ve seen. Still, the title of that really old TV show somehow popped into my mind.
Latest in mask fashion
My terrific daughter Elisabeth and George Three definitely scored with their latest mask fashions. Yes, George is a Yankees fan. And still I hang out with him. Elisabeth surely loves her glitter. We will continue to stock up on masks, all four of us. And wear them out we do.
