Leaves pop on the backyard rose bushes
Spring continues its progression in my neck of the woods. Leaves have popped up on the backyard rose bushes. I again appreciate the one-by-one of our various flora and fauna.
Bright color out back
When the backyard yellow bunch next to the deck decided it was time, they did it en masse.
Big blooms up front
The daffodils have decided it’s been warm enough to come out in front of our house.
Back on course
Extra work a few days at the library this pay period allowed me to leave an hour early on Friday. When I advanced this news to KP mid-week and suggested a round of golf, he texted back “Big yes.” I made it to Radisson Greens with 12 minutes to spare for our 3:36 tee time.…
Wait, there’s a person and a dog
Just when I thought I was the only one at Onondaga Lake Park before my work shift at the library, I noticed an early morning walker with their dog way down yonder. Good morning, indeed.
A bit too early for people
Nobody sits around at Onondaga Lake Park on a nice early April day before 8 a.m. On this particular day, anyway.
A bit too early for boats
The Onondaga Lake Park marina looks beautiful this time of spring. It also looks ready for the fleet of boats that will come in, vessel by vessel. My safe walks await their arrival.
That early trip to the lake was worth it
I left for my shift at the library early last week so I could take a walk down by the lake. That allowed me to find the sun still playing its hello-Spring-day games with the trees. Good way to get ready for work, I thought.
Somebody will want to throw a line
It’s getting nice enough that somebody will want to get fishing just outside the appointed restrictions, soon enough.

Cherished rescue mutt Ellie B aka Dogamous Pyle and I caught this sight during a safe walk around the neighborhood this past weekend. Spring brings out the curious side in some, we do declare.
