Enjoy a good live song

Play on, sir.

The Ocean House Beach Bar does a lot of things right on its square of bright green artificial turf that sits inside the three sides of the working motel where guests say.

Couches. Chairs. Serves to bring food and drink.

And to make certain happy hours a Happy Hour, a musician pulls out a stool in the corner.

My dear wife Karen and I appreciated the live music, a mix of rock, pop and country from the decades of our lives. I walked up, voiced my appreciation, and dropped a fiver into his tip bowl.

Long live tradition.
