Well preserved.
We walked 2.7 miles at the Lilac Festival, terrific daughter Elisabeth found on her watch when we got back to her car.
We’d earned our visit to the Genesee Brewery a couple of miles toward downtown Rochester.
Some blocks reminded me of our Syracuse, we said in the car on the way over.
The food and beer, however, was quite distinctive. My Zweigle’s red hot dog with kraut did not taste anything like our own Hofmann’s. It reminded me of kielbasa, very pleasantly.
And the new-to-us Kolsh flavor of Peach-and-Mango was a delight.
Lunch complete, we rolled happily rolled back to the east.
What a fun day you all had with a great finish!
Cool building and a brewery too!

Just today, Mrs. Chess and I stopped at a place where we have gotten Genny Cream Ale before. Not everybody sells it down here anymore. She’s still a big fan of it. I think I drank enough in college to be considered an alumnus of that brewery for sure, Mark.🙂

Glad to hear you support Genesee then and now, Bruce! I’m still know to buy YuengLing on tap here in Central New York. I think that’s a Pennsylvania beer …

Yes sir, Yuengling still has the two breweries in Pottsville PA…and I believe they put one down in Tampa FL as well, Mark.

What a great outing! After 2.7 miles, your food and beverages were well-deserved at the Well-preserved, Mark! I’m more of a wine girl, but select beers I enjoy. Peach and Mango sounds tasty!

They put modern touches to the old place inside, and we loved it, Beth. We are going to return for a tour of the brewery proper sometime this summer!
