We’re coming close to Opening Day

The baseball season starts Monday.

I’m ready for some real New York Mets action on the flat screen.

For now, though, I’ll admire the quite reasonable souvenirs I purchased on my dear wife Karen and I’s trip to Cooperstown this winter.

Mike and Tom.

A bit of info.

The Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum store has a wall of postcards featuring those that have been inducted.

I chose those that entered the Hall wearing the hat of my Mets. That would be Tom Seaver, great pitcher from the 1960s and 70s, and Mike Piazza, superb catcher from the 1990s and 2000s.

They cost me one buck even, total.

I will not be sending them out. I will be savoring the careers of Tom and Mike, and hoping that this coming season brings more greatness from our crew of young stars on the mound and in the field.

Let’s Go Mets.

Which is your favorite team, and why?
