Sometimes when you take a lot of pictures, a really good one can get away.
This image from my walk last week at Onondaga Lake Park was among my 100.
It shows a woman and children enjoying a wheeled ride on a pleasant afternoon on the fitness trail, front, center and behind.
I do believe I like the spirit of the moment a lot. I hope it makes you smile, too.
Have you ever taken your small children on a bicycle ride through a park? Have you ever pulled your child behind your bike on a cart? As for me, I might have been a tad nervous the darn cart would detach.
great title too )

The photo is great and very happy. But, yes, I’d fear the cart would either detach or overturn. And the first thing I thought was I hope that’s not a busy road. Thanks for sharing! 😀

It’s not a road at all, but a path in the park for bikers and skaters and runners. So at least that’s one worry out of mind, Rachel! Thanks, my friend.

Oh, I see. Well, then, I like it much better now. 😀 That’s a great running path! Here, the bike/running paths are so narrow you have to go single-file and get off the asphalt when someone passes you.

It was built as a road but they closed it down to traffic for this use.

I have pulled them in a wagon or rode my bike beside theirs. I have sometimes laughed, because in my head, a bicycle goes rather fast, wondering how the world looks as it speeds by, while they are outside, it may be almost like a car ride, unless you stop and give them a rock or a twig to look at, then take it away, so they don’t swallow it. I have often thought the ones racing by with strollers also need to remember who is with them. I am opinionated because I always felt the point of being with my children was to share and enjoy nature with them… But not really wanting to step on any toes here, Mark!

I know this mama was careful because she was going behind her toddler on the bike with training wheels on it, Robin. so her speed was in the “slow” category at all times, I’d think! I do indeed admire your caution, my friend.

I could never be trusted with a cart like that on my bike. A photo worth smiling over, for sure.

I’m glad you’re back and commenting, Sandra. Your post today has great pictures of the family! Stay away from the evil grape, my friend, stick to hops and barley.

What was I thinking Mark? You’re right on the money. I forgot how evil that grape can be. It’s not called grape juice for a good reason, there’s a big difference! My tiny dancer has a fever today. We’re both off to a rocky start this week. I hope you and Karen are well! Xxoo

Nice way to travel for the one in the cart Mark. Just hope it’s safe there. I need something like that to hook to my wheels for my trips to the grocery. That could really shake things up a lot. Oh, my, I’m getting some brain pictures now.

You need to find a cyclist training for the triathlon who wants to haul you around to the groceries to help improve her or his time, Angie. That would make life pretty grand, wouldn’t it? Put a little note up on the supermarket bulletin board with a push pin?

Nah, that wouldn’t be much fun for me Mark. Better my way with all of the people trying to herd me in to their world when I try to escape into mine.

In my day we had little seats that attached to the bike and this was before helmets, now that’s crazy!

I used to cycle every day. I would go for 20-40 km. I think that’s roughly 12-24 miles – my American is a bit rusty. When my daughter was born and eventually came on rides with me, we were lucky to go a mile or so before she’d had enough.
Love your title Mark – very clever!

You were a long rider, in metric or American, Diana. Holy cow! Your daughter, not so much. Did she grow into liking distances more, I wonder?
Thank you for your kind word about the title. It hit me, and I know I had my winner.
