I will be wearing my own No. 72

I no longer have to wonder where I can purchase my very own No. 72 shirt to honor Tim Green. The number worn by the star lineman from the 1980s hung from the stores on Marshall Street up on the Syracuse University hill, too. And now one will be on my back when I got…

Turn on the footlights

I noticed something walking up the hill to Saturday’s football game at the Carrier Dome and told myself to not forget about it while walking down at night. My dear wife Karen and I wondered if it was orange or red. Later in the week we heard a news report. This is the Hall of…

They finished the building

I hadn’t been up near the Syracuse University hill since the final football game in November. On a spring walk up the hill, I was glad to see that the construction on the Crouse/Marshall area building had been completed. Progress is good.

Castle from a different angle

The castle that is really Syracuse Universithy’s Crouse College has been a photo favorite of mine for years. Walking to the Friday night Orange college football game against Clemson, I was able to capture it from a different angle in different light. I never get enough of this place’s aura.

Let’s hear it for the Children’s Hospital

For Friday night’s Syracuse college football game against Clemson, my dear wife Karen and I decided to take a different walking route up to the Carrier Dome. It took us past the Golisano Children’s Hospital at Upstate Medical University. As dusk falls on the Syracuse University hill, this sure is a striking sight. I’m glad…
