Lovely in every season

Perfect lines. The shoreline trees at my nearby Onondaga Lake Park know how to look dignified even after they shed all their leaves. Thank you for your shade and so much more.

Another season of lights

Ready for the traffic. A recent stroll through Onondaga Lake Park caught the Lights on the Lake displays in full glory. The tunnels make me smile every year when I see them lined up for the first time. Brilliant. Even in the light of day, the displays stand out to me. Enjoy when darkness falls,…

Hello down there

Great drama. I had to look down from the topp level of our mega mall Destiny USA. And lo-and-behold, the big screen was flashing an ad for Wicked, which happens to be taking its national tour to our lovely downtown theater, The Landmark, at this start of December.

What goes up

Big ads. I do like to keep my head on a swivel as I cold-weather stride around our mega mall Destiny USA. Do I know anybody who needs a cool sneaker for a holiday gift?

Missing the man and the vibe

Paradise no longer. Along with the new spots I noticed on a cold weather stroll around our mega mall Destiny USA, the top level pass also reminded me that longtime restaurant Margaritaville is no longer in business. Brush is in the car

It’s on there. How many times will I have to brush off our car this fall, winter (and dare I say spring) combined? I don’t even want to guess, but feel free to take a try. No prizes will be awarded.

Front view

Windy, too. I appreciate taking snow photos to share while it’s falling … but before it’s so deep I have to shovel it. Not winter yet, but we’ll get plenty of the white stuff here.

White snow Friday

Still pretty. So what did we get in our part of the world on the day when everybody wants to scoot out and visit a store or three? (At least those of us who still like to hold the product in our hands before we buy it, like me.) Our Black Friday turned into a…
