Interesting angles. Taking a morning stroll here and there through Syracuse’s mega shopping, dining and entertainment complex Destiny USA after scoring a few great birthday gifts for my dear wife Karen, I find a cool view from the bottom floor. Retired-guy-I doesn’t mind this visit to the collection of brick-and-mortar.

In the holiday mood

With a jolt. When I take a certain angle to or from our car in the driveway, I get this creepy feeling somebody’s watching me from our neighbor’s front yard. I may have even cleared the inch or two retired-guy-I’s vertical leap now allows. Just the ghouls set up for the holiday, I recall.

Still spooky. The Haunted Garage event stood out on the library’s calendar to this retired-guy-I. Individual statements. Our pink backyard rose bush seems to be spreading out October’s appearances far and wide. As retired-guy-I meanders, I’m glad for each bloom.

Keep popping, red rose

October production. My dear wife Karen cut down the knockout rose bush up front as she went about her October gardening rounds. The plant quickly pushed out new blooms in response. Great natural cycle, this.
