Big art

Birds and more. The red cardinals stand out so well on top of he wood-grained heart, I thought about the big art around the circle as my dear wife Karen and I strolled through the Syracuse Arts and Crafts Festival. Give the dog a bone. The huge dog would make a cool landing spot, too.

Basketball, too

Hoops fits. Good use. Every time I think I’ve seen it all as I stroll though the Syracuse Arts and Crafts Festival with my dear wife Karen, I notice something new from years past. Yes, cashmere sweaters need a new life, too, I surmised.

Still going strong

Still advocating. I’ve lived in Syracuse since the 1980s. My stroll through the annual Syracuse Arts and Crafts Festival with my dear wife Karen reminded me that the Syracuse Peace Council has been taking its stand in all the decades I’ve been here. Thank you.

Variety is good

The sky’s the limit. The crowds encountered by my dear wife Karen and I at the annual Syracuse Arts and Crafts Festival were curious and lively. The downtown blocks off the circle were perfect for our chosen strategy of up-one-side and down-the-other to see it all.

Chalk it up

Colorful vibe. My dear wife Karen and I successfully navigated the major road construction on the couple miles east from our house to downtown for our annual stroll through the Syracuse Arts and Crafts Festival. Aw, shoot

One stalk. Nature does its own thing, thankfully and amazingly. Outside our front door, it gives us the thick and lovely hostas, pushing out one tall and thin upshoot. To each part its own thing.

Lush lavender

Take a bow. The front-yard lavender proved to be a bit top heavy this season. We think it’s quite lovely, even as it takes a bow toward our walk.

Back in style

Always welcome. The patch of Black-eyed Susans that borders our driveway and the next-door neighbor’s lawn came back this year in full glory. In fact, I think they decided to come a bit forward from last year’s space. We’ll take it.
