Thank you for some rain

Stay dry, Vinny. We’ve had some rain around our part of the world lately. Enough for water to gather in the overflow behind terrific daughter Elisabeth and George Three’s backyard. Vinny really, really wants to go splashing. Nope.

Settling down from the skunking

Thank you for taking care of me. A few days ago, our cherished rescue mutt let me know she needed to take care of business at 2 a.m. I groggily opened the back door let her out in our fenced yard and retreated to put on my shoes and grab my trusty flashlight to join…

Wandering just a bit

Tiny village street with a bonus. Hey, you can’t not get a photo of that bush, my brain told me out of the corner of my eye as I walked park to village … So I strayed down the little road and got the burst of color.

To the village

Pretty, too. Yes, there’s life attached to my favorite lake park. The Village of Liverpool looks pretty nice during an autumn stroll, too. Hey, I parked in the Nichols supermarket lot, knowing I wanted to stop in to pick up groceries before returning home!

Looking back

Different perspective. I always want to turn around to see where I’ve been during a lake park stroll. That looks great, too.

Shore enough

So much in one frame. Can I stroll my lake park without veering off the path toward the shore? Not when some of my favorite trees and scenes are <em>right there</em>.

Taking the turn

Bingo! There, up ahead, I spotted a tree at peak fall colors. Maybe even a little past. I enjoy the discovery of autumn changes in my part of the world.

Ready to light it up

Gathering … It wouldn’t be an autumn stroll at Onondaga Lake Park without the gathering of displays for this year’s Lights on the Lake display. Easy to spread out. Soon enough, I know, they will be carefully placed in their rightful locations along the path. And then, it will be closer to Thanksgiving, the event…
