Too much happened here.
As we drove to park for our trip to the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta, KP and I discovered that across the street sat a landmark forever stamped in world history.
We had to take in the Centennial Olympic Park, where a grand celebration for the 1996 Summer Games took that sudden tragic turn when a bomb left in a pack near the music stage caused 111 injuries and two deaths.
Downtown skyline.
The park is now a focal point for Atlanta special events.
That was a sad day in a lot of ways, Mark. One of those moments where many probably remember where they were when they first heard the news.
