I wondered where I would eat my first dinner in St. Louis.
My colleague from Onondaga County Public Library system’s Central hub, Cara, told me during day one’s LMCC19 sessions that she’d found a somewhat satisfying dinner on the night of her arrival from nearby Chinese takeout joint The Red Door.
I Googled it, decided upon the wonton soup and combo box of Empress Chicken, rice and eggroll, and took off on the stroll for sustanence.
Not everything around this part of town could be about the Gateway Arch.
I actually had to wait before crossing at every intersection.
I decided that this was an agreeable part of the city, for sure.
My dinner did its job. By the way, we call it General Tso’s Chicken back home in Central New York.
Oh we did enjoy our trip there many years ago. Your dinner looks wonderful and we call it General Tso’s here too.

It really was a hit for me, Beth. Maybe you’ll get to the Gateway to the West some day.
