They pulled it off.

We all could tell by the look on Michelle’s face when she followed Kristin and Kris into The Retreat in Liverpool last Friday night and our big group of friends all yelled “Surprise!”

Priceless smile.

The idea was hatched by Lizzy, soon to be Michelle’s sister-in-law. Facebook invitations were sent, and the orders were strict. Keep this after-work party a secret. Because Michelle is most often the one putting the social occasions together – think Martinfest – this was no small test.

We all held our breaths and wondered if we would be found out beforehand.

She’s happy!

The lighting wasn’t great for my iPhone 6s, but I did my best to capture the spirit. A good time was had by Michelle, yes. And she wasn’t the only one.
