Later and later she rises, without the need of spring ahead.
A quick before-work walk down to the lake allows me to note the sun rising to the east. I also note that people still like to trot down from Tulip Street to the wider path cleared by County Parks workers for year-round use.
Sights like this can make me glad I left early for my weekday library work shift and wandered down to Onondaga Lake Park for a few precious moments.
One thing about December sunrises an our house that makes me happy: I can catch a nice image right from our back door.
I’m glad to run back inside for my iPhone when cherished rescue mutt Ellie B’s early morning go-out to the backyard is accompanied by a beautiful wake-up-to-a-golden sunrise moment like it was Thursday.
It gets colder, sure, but the way my car, house and yard looked at about 15 degrees F one recent morning as I went out to leave for work struck me as kind of magnificent.
It seems are cherished rescue mutt Ellie b aka Dogamous Pyle can’t quite believe it’s back to the normal routine, either, as the sun rises over our backyard this first month of 2020.
