Hold on there, pretty plant
Spotted this week outside the library where I work: A bright red that won’t yet give in.

The newly spiffed up business/residence combo in the heart of the Village of Liverpool boasts a new color. It seems to go well with the changing leaves of autumn, yes?
It does amaze me, during a late October safe walk in the Village of Liverpool, how some Second Street trees steadfastly hold on to their green, while right across the corner the yellows will soon all have succumbed to the seasonal pull.
When a line of trees change color at the same rate, it’s like a chorus hitting their notes together perfectly. That’s the thought that struck my during a late October safe walk in the Village of Liverpool, staring down the line flanking Washington Park.
This tree on the side of First Street in the Village of Liverpool caught my eye during a late October safe walk because of the purples. And greens. Together, high and low, in the same tree. Beautiful.
Yes, I’d hang a banner and welcome people to this fall scene, too. As long as they came with the proper amounts of caution, of course, as this corner is just a few strides from my library workplace.
One little step back in the blocks around my library job in the Village of Liverpool: The recent return of the pun signs at the corner in front of the pet store. Oh, how I missed the humor on my work break safe walks.
The construction facelift approved for this corner in the Village of Liverpool took a hiatus for the virus. But the upgrading in the block around the corner from my job at the library is going strong now. Looking better.
Walking back to where I’d parked my car outside the library on Tulip Street after a short, socially distanced stroll at Onondaga Lake Park, I took note that on a Friday morning … … there might have been more hustle and bustle than I had anticipated.
Neighbors in the Village of Liverpool know there have been plenty of dog walkers in these days, too. This would make me wag my tail if I had one.
