Rink, quiet

Waiting for the hustle, bustle. My walk through Clinton Square brought hope to see a skater or two on the downtown Syracuse rink. Too wet, I thought, so I continued my annual stroll to see what might be new.

Downtown still shines

All decked out. My daily pursuits led me to a December visit to downtown Syracuse. Of course I needed to walk past Clinton Square for my annual photo clicks of the decorated tree and adjacent areas. The grass was green and nobody was skating as a light rain fell. The artificial tree still looked sharp,…

Good landing spot

On the path or the rink. OK, Santa, you can tell Rudolph and the rest if the reindeer to take ‘er down anywhere they want right around the square. Happy Christmas Eve …

Building the bond

Looking up. OK, I thought, glancing across the street from the decorated downtown Syracuse square. The wreaths look nice for the season. But the building looks really cool no matter.

Art appreciated

For book lovers. When I walk around Clinton Square these days, I notice new takes on portable art. Keys to my heart. Reading and music. Somebody knows what draws my attention.

Nice stepping, colorful Polish dancers

Colorful swirling. As we four adventurers crossed behind the Polish Fest stage before taking a downtown Syracuse stroll, I spied a dance troupe ready to do its thing. I had to grab the iPhone camera to capture their colorful moment in front of an appreciative crowd.

Strolling through the start of festival season

Let the fun begin. My dear wife Karen, terrific daughter Elisabeth and great guy George Three decided to start downtown Syracuse’s festival season 2023 with a bright stroll the sights and sounds of Crawfish Festival. Play on. We were joined by thousands of others who wanted to take in the music, food and sights. A…
