Our dog knows a pretty flower when she sees it
We did have to say, Ellie, go see the pretty flower. Still. It was a great late September backyard moment for my dear wife Karen and I with our cherished rescue mutt.
Now we’re blooming
What did we spy upon our return from our Cape Cod vacation but … Backyard lilies that could not contain themselves. A hostas plant the size of an elephant’s head. White backing up the red in the front of the house. My dear wife Karen’s hard work surely pays off.
Now we’ll see even more backyard color
My dear wife Karen has picked the backyard places for more of her cherished new plants. A pair of purple Mother’s Day presents have side-by-side residence. And a rose we chose at Ballantyne Gardens went in across the walk. Yes, all three carry the same sort of hue.
Rain can’t totally dampen the bloom
We finally got a good downpour in our Liverpool neighborhood of Galeville recently. I wondered how the rose blooms would hold up. They took on a lot of moisture. They refused to bow.
Lily season comes in many colors
Lily season makes us happy in the backyard of A Bitty Better in the Liverpool neighborhood of Galeville. We’ve got red. We’ve got white. Did I mention that we’ve got red?
A sea of white
Red chairs. White blooms, with a hint of lavender. Ah, simple backyard joy.
