Hanging out and hanging on

Calling my name? Soon, I think, every time I go out to our backyard with my dear wife Karen and/or our cherished rescue mutt. Comfy seasonal stuff will have to be moved into our shed before the snow flies. Sigh.

Still blooming

Thank you. I’m glad I can still walk out from the side door and appreciate our backyard rose plants. Hello, October blooms.

Smoother

Better, yes. When Elisabeth and George had their driveway sealed a bit ago, I knew I had to make the call. Ours needed the facelift, too. They did a good job smoothing the old spot out the best they could. Of course, the worker did say that the only way to make our convenient parking…

Yes, it’s covered

Leaves, out. The pool cover keeps stuff out from September to late May. I do like watching our cherished rescue mutt carefully walk around it as she does her backyard business.

New spots

To the left. The coming of October means my dear wife Karen has put her shovel to our earth and changed location for some of our plants. She uncrowded the busy front garden and put one plant each to our new array of bushes by the neighbor’s driveway and by the back fence. Room to…

Fancy colors

Better off red. As we get ready to welcome a new month, our front yard dogwood is going from green to red. Fall will do that to our favorite foliage.

Lovely little lake view at sundown

Thank you, our slice of the sky. Look the orange, my dear wife Karen exclaimed while doing this and that around our kitchen. She had a bit a slice of our still-feeling-fresh lake view pouring through the window just after the sun had waved bye for the day. I rushed out our front door, a…

Back to golf …

Our Central New York course … As the top golfers from the U.S. and Europe finish up their tussle for the Ryder Cup at treacherous Bethpage Black on Long Island with a string of singles matches today, I will be watching on my living room TV. Also, I’ll be thinking about how this has been…

On the lookout

Watching the world. Vinny likes when terrific daughter Elisabeth and George Three pull out the extra chair to their front door. Great view of their street! He likes it so much that he refuses to allow Izzy up there to share the sights with him, the kids report.

Thank you, Cleveland

Happiness is … Baseball and rock ‘n’ roll. I had a great family getaway with my dear wife Karen, terrific daughter Elisabeth and George Three to Cleveland. Thanks for taking a look at my photos these past days.
