Green and white
Blend of seasons. Not only have these front-yard bush’s leaves not fallen before the initial measureable snow, this mid-November they’ve yet to go from green to yellow to gone.

OK, dad, I’l go down there. Our cherished rescue mutt takes a bit more time than usual to descend from the back deck to her yard to greet the morning snow. She’ll get there.
Yes, indeed. The leaves hadn’t all fallen from our front-yard dogwood when measureable snow visited our part of the world the last two nights. It was time for me to grab my phone and take enough photos to share for a few days.
The big walk. Our cherished rescue mutt is quite happy that the snow hasn’t covered her usual path in our backyard. Yet. She does a good job sticking to the cement pool edge … which means she’s done with her rounds and is making a beeline to the side door.
Go to it, great dog. Our cherished rescue mutt walked out the back door to a very pretty November scene. Leaves are coming down, yes.
Stakes are high. My dear wife Karen and I looked outside our front door and realized that our plowing company rep had stealthily places this season’s stakes to mark the edges of our driveway. New this year: The markers are skinny, blue synthetic poles instead of the bigger wooden stakes of the decade past. Also,…
Scenic. Yes, I will return before the snow piles up, I thought before I turned back toward my car, taking in the beauty of Onondaga Lake Park during autumn. Of course, in Central New York, snow can fly any day now. Stick on the grass, even. Hopefully, not accumulate too much on the roads. Knock…
Bye-bye. Gone with the wind, I thought as I encountered some trees that have dropped more leaves than most this autumn. To be bare soon enough. Sigh.
Round the bend. The clouds and trees tried their best to hide the early morning sun during my Onondaga Lake Park autumn stroll. Couldn’t quite pull it off, though.
Not many walkers. Yes, it was chilly when I decided to stroll my favorite local park next to the lake. The scene I soaked in on the path was beautiful. That way, too. I even spotted another appreciator of the morning quiet when I turned toward the sun.
