Under a buck, yes. I was surprised to see the store in mega mall Destiny USA 99¢ City has stood steadfast. I did not, however, go in to check price tags.
To the holiday
All but the big guy. As we celebrate Thanksgiving, I’ve noticed that they’re ready for the next big holiday at our mega mall Destiny USA. The setting is set for the famous bearded one.

Hello, sir. I was hoping that our new Pope has made his appearance in the store front at The Franciscan Place in our mega mall Destiny USA. From Chicago to the Vatican to Syracuse, yes, indeed, and my cold-weather walk gets a smile indeed.

Deep purple. Before they wave goodbye and fall to the lawn, our front-yard dogwood tree leaves get good and dark purple.
Chiming in
Enjoy the last run. Soon enough, my dear wife Karen and I will collect our warmer-month outdoor stuff and pack it away safely for the cold and snow that will arrive to our part of the world. Until then, we will love the beauty of it all.
The big turn
Mellow yellow. Yes, indeed, our back garden plants are finally changing their leave colors. Biggie. The yellow of the rose leaves is bright, and the size of the hostas leaves amazes me.
Don’t close it!
Let the sunshine in. Our cherished rescue mutt got in through the side door and discovered I’d somehow left the back door open when she and I went out for her first morning backyard stroll. The sun was coming in. Unfortunately, it’s cold enough outside that mean old daddy is going to close the door…
Give ‘em up, trees
Not quite. The snow is down but the leaves on the trees surrounding our backyard are still up. Interesting November, this.
