Behind the scenes

Just off a main street! After an annual visit to one of my docs this week, I decided to take a look behind their parking lot. I’d never ventured back there, but the snow and trees was calling my name. The houses below sure looked pretty in this cold January spell of ours.

Yummy addition

The perfect noodle? Watching Shark Tank recently, a husband-and-wife team that came up with a Thai pha soup caught the attention of two sharks and my dear wife Karen and I. They were already selling well in several big stores and online. We had a four-pack of the beef pha shipped, and it arrived in…

Wide to the west

Just past the horizon. I was lucky enough to peer out the window to catch the last orange glow of the day on the horizon across the way. I grabbed my iPad, darted out the front door, and sped down the driveway to catch the image before the color was gone, gone, gone. This sure…

Sharp corners

Relaxing into a new day

Our cherished rescue mutt doesn’t mind a bed of snow on the back deck one bit as she relaxes at the sun says hello to the east. She goes to the back door, I let her out and admire her pluck. This time, she was barking at the side door for entry in five minutes.…

Sunrise at the surgical center

Hello, new day. The days are getting longer on both ends, I am gladly observing as January gets ready to give way to a new month. The sun is poking its head up further and further as I drive my dear wife Karen for her morning shifts as she continues to work some days during…

Signs of the times

Do I or don’t I? Can I continue to withstand this cold morning stroll, I wondered at this corner in the Village of Liverpool, looking ahead to the crispness of my beloved Onondaga Lake Park. Well I am certainly not a commercial vehicle …
