Happy season. I appreciate the way these folks express their joy for spring.
Straight away ready. Some parts of this neighborhood stroll are just begging for me to go a little faster.
Mental landmark. Fittingly enough, my halfway point on this neighborhood walk route falls at a well-marked cross street. Onward I go after the quick iPhone photo capture.
Centerpiece. Some walking days feature no breeze at all, as demonstrated by the prone position of our flag on this pole.
Proud block. Two houses down from yesterday’s flag and pole, there still was no breeze as I walked past another flag.
Well preserved. We walked 2.7 miles at the Lilac Festival, terrific daughter Elisabeth found on her watch when we got back to her car. We’d earned our visit to the Genesee Brewery a couple of miles toward downtown Rochester. Some blocks reminded me of our Syracuse, we said in the car on the way over.…

Special walkway. Rochester rolled out the color for the Lilac Festival. Yes, I appreciated the crosswalk.
