Flag looks fine in the sun

One place I like to lead Ellie B aka Dogamous Pyle on a winter walk in the blocks around A Bitty Better in the Liverpool neighborhood of Galeville is the easily navigated spread of the seniors spot. For one thing, our cherished rescue mutt feels at home there. And the scenery can be nice, too.

Tempting, yes

No, I’m not. But do I think that this sign next to the library is effective as I walk through the cold for a cup of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee? Yes, I do.

Retreat? Maybe later

So tourism people have recently set up a space in the Canyon wing to sell other hot spots, products and people that…

A lake lies in wait

If you dare make your way down the street, over the snow pile, across the icy lawn and to the dock, there is a reward to be found on an afternoon break walk from the library desk. Onondaga Lake at its wintry best awaits past the silent docks. Icy, yes. Beautiful, most definitely.
