Ready for chilly ballgame
Warm at this point. The second homestand of our Syracuse Mets’ season still featured some chilly weather. My dear wife Karen and I knew to dress in layers. Yes, I added a hoodie a few innings later.

Sweet Eva there in spirit. When our Syracuse Mets announced the inaugural cats at the stadium game, terrific daughter Elisabeth and George Three got harnesses and leashes for kitties Vinnie and Izzy. Backpacks. A stroller. The inside kitties began seeing their neighborhood in a very supervised manner. But before game day, it was decided they…
And we’re off. A week or so ago, Tater and I decided it was time to start our golf buddy golf season. He’d played a time or two solo. Me, no. So the cool round at Orchard Vali was not great for good shots on my end. He hit it better. Little by little, though,…
End of the line right out there. It felt good to see the end of the winding walking trail at the way west end of our lake park. I’ll return to venture more when it’s warm, I thought with a slight April shiver.
Drivers beware. If you drive in, be prepared to stay awhile, I thought as I walked to the way west end of the lake park. Or, don’t drive in.
Walk carefully. It’s going to take some sunny days to get this casual water out of here, I thought as I thought about getting closer to the shoreline at the way west end of the lake park. Yes, golf-think is entering my spring brain.
Lonely feeling. Out at the finish of the way west end of the lake park, it can look kind of lonely on a brisk April morning.
It can happen. Here’s a spot practically screaming for a paddler to put in a small floating craft when the weather gets warm, I figure as I stroll the way west end of the lake park.
Branches waiting for buds. April looks like winter, I thought as the way west park path twisted for me this early morning.
Water worthy. I know that they use these buildings and water craft. Sometime this spring I will return to find something floating on our lake, I think.
