Tired yet?

Destination relaxation. The public pier on Clayton’s Main Street is set up for gawking. I wasn’t ready to sit down. I might not have wanted to get back up, the scene was so pretty.

Quite a view from the racks

Lakeside selling. This clothing store’s owners were smart enough to put sliders and a balcony at the rear of their establishment. The rolling St. Lawerence River surely sets a pretty scene for the Main Street of Clayton.

Sharing the moments

Humans can smile. My dear wife Karen and I drove hopped in the car and drove the 90 minutes or so north for a lunch visit with our good friend Chris. We strolled the pretty village of Clayton after sharing a meal, beverages and plenty of smiles. Yay to French onion soup and a towering…

Those darn cats

Did you see that play?! Terrific daughter Elisabeth and George were watching the Mets game the other night .. … and so, apparently were loveable kitties Izzy and Vinny. Best cat fans, ever.

Walking the … goat

Surprise visitor. Yes, we do like to compare our friends the goats to dogs. Spotting this goat tender leading her four-legged friend around the fair garden made my dear wife Karen and I smile a lot.

Plenty of goats

Hello, old friends. My dear wife Karen always smile as we stroll through the New York State Fair’s goat barn. Cozy. They are always so darn friendly to us. Sorry, no room in our yard. Karen couldn’t resist petting one cutie who came right up to the rail.

Fair gardens

Climb up. Every year, my dear wife Karen and I think that the New York State Fair folks are expanding their garden area. Looks delicious. They’re doing a great job combining vegetables and flowers. On the rise. The sunflowers remain a favorite of ours.

Words can still tickle me

Cool hallway. I tipped my cap to the folks who decided to call this hallway at the New York State Fair’s Expo Center the Vestibule. Words I don’t see much anymore make me smile.

Back in the day …

Large bird. While strolling through the Expo Center at the New York State Fair’s Agriculture with my dear wife Karen, I was glad to see the Dinosaur exhibit from last year had moved on. Cute. This year we got a mix of animals that lived here with us. A relative? And we had us, too.

Garden spot

Cheers to a great courtyard. I had to investigate what the New York State Fair folks did with the Bob Case Garden, tucked into the outdoor square smack dab in the middle of the Agriculture Building. Room to grow. Some of the trees and plants seem to have been at home for a good, long…
