Spring lake view

Big sky at morning. It’s fun to wonder what’s in store weather-wise the rest of the day as I look down our street toward our lake view early in the morning at the end of March. I appreciate the mix of gray and blue.’

Spring sunrise

Eye opening earlier and earlier. I’ve stopped complaining about adjusting to the time change. Appreciating the sun coming up over our backyard in early spring has helped, yes.

Welcome home

From Chuck Hafner’s to our house. I liked the little guy my dear wife Karen decided to purchase during our welcome-spring trip to the big local nursery center. I also appreciate where she decided the new arrival will hang out.

Something’s perking

Cool beans. I did think for a moment, but no. We can’t start our own plantation in Central New York. Fear not, Dunkin’. My dear wife Karen and I will still be steady buyers.

Pick your plants

Step right in. Yes, our big local nursery center did have one of its greenhouse sides open and ready to sell spring plants. My dear wife Karen and I enjoyed walking the aisles. Time to savor the arrival of the season. We didn’t buy. Too early to dig, we agreed. High aspirations. I like the…

Read all about it

Study table. There are folks who research at various levels before putting things into their piece of our Earth. Our big local nursery set aside a space to help brush up on your topics of choice. What’s on my mind? Glorious Shade jumped out at me. Yes, I do want the warmth of summer to…

Hop to It

Earmarked. I did appreciate the thought that brought the big rubber ducks and the bigger springy rabbits to the same perch at our large nursery center. Nice variety of rabbits, I don’t even have to ask Alice.

Wear it proudly, Fido

Million dollar idea. I was a bit jealous of the person who came up with these Fundog Bandanas I spotted at my area big nursery. I’m glad Chuck Hafner’s is offering a lot of interesting stuff, I related to my dear wife Karen. If your dog is into wearing a clever saying around its neck…

Precious pottery

Beauty for the garden. If my dear wife Karen and I were in the market for above-the-ground plant presentation, I would have called her over to this aisle at our big area nursery. We’ve tended to go for the basic clay design. Way easier on the budget, leaving more room for the actual plants, just…

Ground control to Major Mark

If I was worried about patches … What I don’t know can’t hurt me? My lawn, though … Browsing the big area nursery with my dear wife Karen, I noticed that Chuck Haefner’s offers grass seed specifically designed for our climate in Central New York. Noted for when I need to fill any patches …
