Can’t miss the knockout
Hard-hitting color. Our front corner knockout roses make a statement as we move into college football season. They always wear the red of my alma mater Maryland Terrapins, I will add.

Lovely time. My dear wife Karen does so well choosing garden plants that take turns with their blooming cycles in our gardens, front and back. The cedum turns out its flower-tops at the end of summer. As I admire the plant out front, I also think it almost looks like it could look good in…
Good greeting from outdoors. I like to look to the left before I step outside during this stretch of almost-autumn. That burst of blue blooms on the tall plants makes me happy. Bright spot. Still looks good mixed with the white blooms on the outside, too.
An attempt. A trip to Lowe’s included a perusal of the Outdoor Gardening aisle for my dear wife Karen and I to figure out a good way to cover the pesky corner outside our front alcove that attracts weeds and such. Instead of medium, small or smallest rocks, we went with sand. Looks good, we…
The wanderers. It amused me greatly when I spied rogue Black-eyed Susans that had managed to spread from the main bunch at the front corner that borders our yard with the neighbor’s to a spot yards off at the base of their foundation. I hope they are feeling free and fancy.
Go ahead, appreciate it. My dear wife Karen and I love our gardens, backyard and front. Yes, you can. It’s good to see that we’re part of a thing in our home state.
Quite a stretch. Dinosaurs are in at the New York State Fair. And outside the Expo Center, too. Jaw-opening display. Kids and adults alike can find replicas of the beasts that used to roam the Earth there for perusing before you enter and once you decide to go inside the big building toward the rear…
Nice to meet you. My dear wife Karen and I were glad to see the llamas were placed next to the goats at the New York State Fair. Formal wear. They appear tall, elegant and extremely classy, these double-l beauties.
Just right. Walk, walk, walk. Take a seat and enjoy a beer. My dear wife Karen and I know how to appreciate a sunny afternoon at the New York State Fair. And I was extremely happy to spot among the draft been spigots one pouring Adirondack Lager. George Three and I like to drink the…
Go ahead, eat. My dear wife Karen and I always find time to smile with the goats when we visit the New York State Fair. Legal disclaimer? We may even have been known to go in for a head pat or two … but don’t tell our cherished rescue mutt. Cuties. Good thing our backyard…
