Happy Halloween!

Kielbasa bucket, too? George Three texted this photo over to me with the message that Elisabeth thought I might get a kick out of it. Now that’s a Polish Halloween greeting if I’ve ever seen one. Yikes is my other reaction.

Keys on keys

Type-type-type. I’ve been using my iPad Pro as my main tech communicator for years now. The latest remote keyboard waved bye-bye this week. I was prepared with the replacement. This new Bluetooth baby, though, does not come with a holder for the iPad. Instead, I chose a stand-alone that can sit atop the old keys.…

So now it’s a studio

Is it a Wayback Machine? I do believe we used to call these things a Photo Booth! Way, way back in my past I recall cramming friends into its confines, jamming in a quarter or two, mugging for the camera … What, no iPhone? I wonder how much use this new addition deemed a Deluxe…

Waiting for its crew

A choice. Three cheers to the marketing staffer who came up with this banner for the new bar/restaurant in the Canyon location of Syracuse shopping, dining and entertainment complex Destiny USA. I think Bullfinch may have earned a visit from myself and my dear wife Karen for a bite and a beer some Saturday.

A nod to Jimmy

The vibe shines. A stroll through Syracuse’s shopping, dining and entertainment complex Destiny USA carries with it the reminder that Jimmy Buffett passed this year. Life is more than a song, but, oh what songs. My dear wife Karen and I have been fortunate enough to visit Margaritaville complexes that reflect the singer-songwriter’s way in…

Looking up

Interesting angles. Taking a morning stroll here and there through Syracuse’s mega shopping, dining and entertainment complex Destiny USA after scoring a few great birthday gifts for my dear wife Karen, I find a cool view from the bottom floor. Retired-guy-I doesn’t mind this visit to the collection of brick-and-mortar.

In the holiday mood

With a jolt. When I take a certain angle to or from our car in the driveway, I get this creepy feeling somebody’s watching me from our neighbor’s front yard. I may have even cleared the inch or two retired-guy-I’s vertical leap now allows. Just the ghouls set up for the holiday, I recall.

Still scaring them at the library

Still spooky. The Haunted Garage event stood out on the library’s calendar to this retired-guy-I. It was a favorite during my time sharing the word, photos and videos with the community for the Liverpool Public Library. So much hard work. And so my dear wife Karen and I joined a full block of walkers at…

Its job is done

Job well done. The climber that graced our side alcove all summer and the start of autumn has called it a year. Bravo. Bravissimo. See you on the ascent come spring.

Blooming singly

Individual statements. Our pink backyard rose bush seems to be spreading out October’s appearances far and wide. As retired-guy-I meanders, I’m glad for each bloom.
