Another year of Martinfest brings more innovation

Great Saturday in February.

I never know what my dear wife Karen and I will find at Martinfest.

The family that brings the big party to the little parking lot in downtown Syracuse for a winter break of friends and fun never stops coming up with new wrinkles.

Slice of life.

This year’s newbie was a portable pizza oven.

I did enjoy a slice.

Grilled egg and meet on bagels or bread.
Table one of good will.
If cap lands in the cup, it’s shot time.
If you didn’t bring an ice chest, don’t fret.
Table two of food and …
All the equipment needs to run somehow.

That was in addition to a breakfast sandwich carefully crafted by Jason to start my morning.

My dear wife Karen introduced her eye place co-worker Chad to the party this year. He liked the vibe.

Thanks so much again to our wonderful friend Michelle for the shirts and spirit, a half-dozen years in a row now and running. Her siblings Scott and Kevin and their special families help make it a great slice of our lives. Cousin Jason knows how to keep the fires stoked and the smiles wide. A special moment this year came when the Martin elders pulled in for a visit and a special family photo was snapped.
