So this week’s thaw made for a happy backyard time for our cherished rescue mutt Ellie B aka Dogamous Pyle.
I opened the back door of A Bitty Better as soon as got home from the library. I discovered a day near 60 degrees F had left us with a melting mass on top of the pool cover.
The dog didn’t care.
Between thaws and subsequent freezes, by Spring that pool will have more layers than an archaeological dig in Wyoming.

Maybe I’ll discover something valuable, Tom, like a two-dollar dog toy!

The temp’s going to drop again, and that melting mass will freeze. Then you can go ice skating in your own backyard. As opposed to the “ice skating” I did this morning just trying to get into work. Ugh. I’ve had enough winter for this year.

We don’t want anybody going out on that cover no matter, CM. Bad doggie habit! Good luck tip-toeing to work, my friend.
