There is a common bond in the Liverpool neighborhood of Galeville.
We all deal with a stubby water pipe somewhere in our front yard.
My dear wife Karen and I have been letting the rusty little thing just sit there between our walkway and the road. Inside, I seethe a little bit.
And notice that there are imaginative ways, in varying degrees, that other people deal with the issue.
There’s a patriotic way to dress it up.
You can sit around and hope nobody notices much.
Going around the system can either concentrate attention to or away from the pipe.
My favorite, no doubt, is the wishing well that fits neatly over the top. The fair garden behind it is pretty grand as well. Nice job, neighbors.
I’m looking forward to your creative solution!!!

I merely mow around it, MBC. Maybe next spring I’ll tackle the dilemma!

All good observations. I’ve never thought of it; my water pipe is like yours. Best in Show sure is!

We do what we can and leave some things for later, right, Mike? 🙂

Haha! Yes, on my list of things to do, dressing up the water pipe has not been on it. But now that you mention it, maybe … nah, probably never.

Ha! You can do instead of watching the Mets the rest of this season, Mike. 😦
