Quick quiz: Where was this above photo taken? No, I didn’t sneak in another location while I’m on my Niagara Falls roll. This is the park at the bottom of the Ontario city, just below the blocks of tourist shops and just above the majesty of the falls.
My dear wife Karen and I had a wild card up our dining sleeve because the local restaurant we had in mind, The Love Boat, was closed. Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville drew our attention.
Above, the bright lights of the chain brighten a busy corner of the Ontario city.
At right, our order.
Yes, the Cheeseburgers in Paradise was quite tasty. I had our waitress Autumn throw a couple slices of crispy bacon on mine for good measure. Karen and I were celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary, after all.
A winding walk along the falls — two falls, really — is filled with tourists on a day with the temperatures in the mid-40s and the sun playing hide-and-seek with the clouds. The Ontario parks people long ago set up stairs winding around a concrete structure, where folks are allowed to climb and shoot below. Karen went halfway up. She’s in the blue jacket, smack dab in the middle of the photo. I made it to the top to capture her looking out.
Early Sunday morning, I posted a couple of pictures I snapped from the window of our 19th-floor room at the Doubletree at the Hilton. Upon further photo roll review, I discovered this beauty, taken right after I grabbed my iPhone because the first light drew my attention.
Ladies and gentlemen, Niagara Falls. No need to hold your applause. Majestic is too tame a description.
That marg looked good! Yum. 🙂

I had the beer in the photo. Tickled this American to order Molson Canadian as a domestic beer, less expensive than the imported Miller. The margarita was tasty. My wife allowed me a sip or three. Thanks!
