Our Florida governor just today (after much criticism and the state doubling in virus victims over the past 4 days) signed our stay-home orders to begin at midnight. And we’ve already been noticing a lot more crime in the areas with less patrolling.

I’ve noticed the silencing of the town on Monday mornings when I make my once weekly trek to the office. But people are out EVERY WHERE else!!!!

Yesterday, I went out for the first time since mid-March. Definitely is strange out there, what with all the stores and businesses closed. Even the grocery stores, which are still open, have minimal customers now that everyone finished their panic buying.

My dear wife Karen and I drove through an Arby’s as a lunch treat yesterday (and to get out for a little car time) and everything was empty except the supermarket and pharmacy parking lots, CM.

Usually during business hours there are people in and out, Beth, like … well, town offices! And then there are Court nights. So different with them having call-for-necessary-appointment days, no court and no weekend basketball leagues.
